“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NLT)
For the month of May, we at bAw were focused on the gift of Motherhood and the joys, sacrifices, anxieties and struggles of being a mother and a parent.
“If the moon loves you, why worry about the stars?” – African Proverb
Thus, in today’s ‘bAw African Love Series’ we chose to sit down with a lovely couple that has experienced their marriage before and after having a child. They share some truths around how life shifts when you bring a dependent into the picture.
This gorgeous couple is made up of the debonair Sebastine all the way from Nigeria, and his beautiful wife Madi who is originally from Malawi but grew up in Zimbabwe. He’s an Export Sales Consultant , and she is Head of Risk at ABSA Insurance Pan Africa. Together, they are parents to a bubbly young boy!

They also share insights into what #blacklove looks like for people who are both African by birth and upbringing, yet hail from two completely different cultures – something that is becoming a reality for many of us. You can watch this educational and Spirit-filled conversation here.
Please do take a listen and leave a comment so we know you were blessed by their story. And if you haven’t already done so, make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel so you catch any new content as we share.
